Lexus of Dayton, a Hudson Automotive Company, is actively seeking Automotive Technicians of All Skill Levels to join our award-winning, high-volume service team. Hudson Automotive Group, founded in 1948, is a third-generation, family-owned and operated business proudly serving customers with all their automotive needs. Requirements
- Automotive Technology Graduates
- Express/Lube Technicians
- Maintenance Technicians
- Technicians with 1–2 years of automotive experience looking to grow (for Express/Maintenance Technician)
- 3–5 Years of Professional Automotive Diagnostic & Repair Experience Required (for Experienced Automotive Technician)
- Lexus or Toyota experience preferred but not required
Nice To Haves
- Hybrid/EV experience
- Master Technician certification
- Shop Leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and Lexus Multi-Point Inspections
- Complete Video Multi-Point Inspections (Video MPIs) on every vehicle to clearly communicate vehicle condition and maintenance recommendations to customers
- Rotate and balance tires
- Replace engine air filters, cabin air filters, and wiper blades
- Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, and vehicle fluids
- Complete maintenance services according to Lexus and dealership standards
- Communicate repair opportunities to management
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and hybrid technologies
- Test-drive vehicles and utilize manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- Communicate directly with Service Advisors regarding repair recommendations and additional services
- Perform warranty repairs
- Accurately document repair procedures and findings
- Participate in Lexus manufacturer training and certification programs
- Stay current on technical service bulletins
- Maintain productivity while delivering exceptional workmanship
- Maintain dealership tools and equipment
- Follow OSHA and dealership safety standards
