About The Position
Harr Motors is seeking dedicated individuals to join their Service Team as Automotive Service Technicians. This role is open to all experience levels, from entry-level lube technicians to master-level automotive technicians. The company is committed to training the right candidates and supporting their professional development through hands-on experience and additional certifications. The Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing customer vehicles, working collaboratively with service advisors and other team members to ensure accurate repairs, clear communication of findings, and exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Any level of automotive service experience—from entry-level to master technician.
- A strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a positive team attitude.
- Willingness to learn through hands-on training and pursue additional certifications as needed.
- Ability to follow repair procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and a commitment to taking care of customers.
- Pride in workmanship, organization, and professional appearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly and identify concerns using diagnostic equipment.
- Communicate repair needs and technical findings clearly to service advisors.
- Plan repair procedures using service information, manuals, charts, and experience.
- Test parts and vehicle systems to confirm proper operation before and after repairs.
- Complete tune-ups, tire changes, tire rotations, and tire balancing.
- Perform basic maintenance, including oil changes and fluid-level checks.
- Repair or replace brake pads, brake systems, wheel bearings, sensors, and related components.
- Complete routine maintenance, engine diagnostics, and general mechanical repairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Present a professional appearance and represent Harr Motors well with customers and coworkers.
