About The Position
Goodyear is hiring an Automotive Technician for its auto service centers. The position involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing automotive systems while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and housekeeping. Technicians use diagnostic technology, protective equipment, and manual skills to service vehicles. Goodyear offers a 40-hour flat-rate guarantee for the first 30 days and a 30-hour flat-rate guarantee thereafter while technicians build their customer base. Requirements
- At least three years of automotive repair experience, or three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist.
- Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- ASE A4 (Steering & Suspension) certification.
- ASE A5 (Brakes) certification.
- State inspection license.
- MAC certification.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems, including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
- Troubleshoot vehicle problems and use diagnostic skills and the latest technology to identify issues.
- Mentor teammates and continue learning new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
- Maintain high standards of safety, service, and housekeeping while using protective equipment.
- Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires and wheels and standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
