About The Position

Coughlin Chillicothe GM is seeking to hire an experienced full-time GM Automotive Technician/Mechanic along with motivation to continue their training and ASE certifications for a successful career. This position offers a competitive wage dependent on experience. Our flat-rate hour compensation program allows you to maximize your earning potential. Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Automotive Technology, Vocational/Trade Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent.
Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
Completed manufacturer training.
Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.
Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
