About The Position
Toyota of Tacoma is hiring an Entry-Level Technician. This position is more than just basic oil changes; it's an opportunity to start building a real technician career. You will begin with maintenance services and work alongside experienced technicians, learning real repairs and developing the skills necessary to advance into a full technician role. This is the starting point for those who aspire to become a line technician rather than remaining in a lube-only position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- A high level of personal motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.
- Basic mathematical aptitude
- Ability to understand and apply common sense.
- Clean driving record
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Basic mechanical knowledge or automotive schooling preferred
- Prior experience as an Express Lube Technician, Automotive Technician or education with an Automotive Technical school preferred
- Students and recent grads are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
- Complete multi-point inspections and document findings
- Assist experienced technicians with diagnostics and repairs
- Learn how to troubleshoot and repair real vehicle issues
- Support shop workflow and help keep operations moving
