About The Position

Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This role involves examining customer vehicles, identifying necessary repairs and maintenance, estimating costs, performing the work efficiently according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines, and documenting all services performed. The technician will also request necessary parts, utilize technology to enhance customer experience, maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) standards, and keep a clean and safe work area. Participation in required training, accurate timekeeping, adherence to safeguards, and demonstration of company core values are also essential.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
Valid Driver’s License.
Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
State inspection/emissions license required by State.
All required manufacturer fundamental training and/or NAPA training provided by HAG.
Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
Completed manufacturer training to perform: warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.
Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds.
Regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.
Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
