About The Position

Deery Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Iowa City is seeking an Automotive Technician to join its growing team. The locally owned dealership has been in business since 2011 and describes its environment as fast-paced, customer service driven, friendly, reliable, and efficient. The role offers the opportunity to work with a recognized automotive brand. Paid Chrysler training is provided, and technicians are expected to maintain and complete the required training and certifications. The position is full-time. Work schedules are listed as either an 8-hour shift, five days a week, or a 10-hour shift, four days a week. Compensation includes competitive wages and bonuses depending on experience.

Requirements

Experience as an automotive technician.
Working knowledge of shop equipment.
Shop tools.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, and transmission systems.
Inspect vehicles for necessary and recommended repairs.
Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Communicate with the service advisor about additional service needs and estimated time for additional repairs.
Complete repairs to proper specifications.
Maintain a clean working environment.
Maintain and complete Chrysler training and certifications.
