About The Position

Ron Tonkin Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat is hiring a skilled, motivated Automotive Technician/Mechanic for its service team in Portland, Oregon. The dealership is described as the highest-volume MOPAR sales dealership in Portland and has recently completed a facility renovation and upgraded its Service Department equipment. The technician will perform diagnostics and repairs in a fast-paced service environment, contribute to daily service operations, and help ensure customers’ vehicles are safely and properly serviced. Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience as a Certified Technician.
• ASE certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Personal tools.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive problems as they arise.
• Conduct inspections and repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical systems, and replace parts.
• Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair and servicing process.
• Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team.
