About The Position

Ron Tonkin Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician/Mechanic who excels in diagnostics, repairs, and problem-solving within a fast-paced service environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is detail-oriented, and contributes to a strong, professional service team by leading by example and mentoring less-experienced technicians. This role is critical to daily service operations, ensuring accurate diagnostics and high-quality repairs for customer safety. The dealership, the highest-volume MOPAR sales dealership in Portland, OR, has recently completed a full facility renovation and invested in upgraded Service Department equipment to support its technicians. Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Technician
• ASE Certifications
• Valid Driver’s License
• Personal Tools
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Able to pass a drug screen

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive problems as they arise
• Conducting inspections, repairing engine failure, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts
• Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process
• Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team
