Requirements
- Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter services, tire mounting and balancing, and fluid changes.
- Effectively use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues across multiple systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC.
- Experience in repairing and replacing battery and charging systems, major engine components, coolant systems, and exhaust components—possibly involving welding—is crucial.
- A strong ability to document logical cause-and-effect relationships in your work.
- Comfortable using both hand and power tools.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience as an automotive technician.
- A state certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certification is preferred, or you should be willing to pursue it for career advancement.
