About The Position

The Technician performs basic maintenance, light or heavy repairs, diagnosis and warranty repairs on customer vehicles. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least 3-4 years experience working in the main line shop, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, and an aptitude for vehicle repairs, warranty work, and recalls. State-certified inspectors a plus. Candidates must have fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and appropriate appearance and behavior.

Requirements

• ASE Certifications preferred
• Certified to perform state inspections
• 4 years clear driving record- No previous DUI history or moving violations
• Valid driver’s license
• No criminal background history
• 3-4 yrs minimum prior automotive repair experience
• Competent knowledge of automotive technology and related tools and equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Detail oriented with multi-tasking ability
• Good customer service focus
• Good communication skills
• Knowledgeable of factory vehicle repairs, tools and equipment
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills
• Good time management skills
• Appropriate appearance and behavior

Responsibilities

• Conducts multipoint inspections and video inspections of customer vehicles to identify needed maintenance services and repairs.
• Follows all required safety and hazardous materials procedures as required by the dealership policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Uses and maintains dealership-provided tools and equipment in proper operating conditions.
• Documents inspection findings and maintenance requirements clearly and accurately and communicates them to the service advisor/ASM.
• Communicates proactively with other associates to ensure a smooth, safe flow of work throughout the shop.
• Quality checks own work and the work of other Technicians as requested.
• Stays up to date with all manufacturer and dealership required training.
