About The Position

Courtesy Chevrolet Fleet Service is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles so they operate safely and efficiently. The role combines technical expertise and problem-solving with a commitment to excellent customer service. The technician performs work specified on repair orders, tests vehicles and components, diagnoses and repairs automotive systems, communicates additional service needs and repair time estimates to the Service Advisor, and completes warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Experience working on medium- or heavy-duty trucks.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of diesel engine systems and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new detailing techniques and products.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in automotive detailing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership requirements.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide an estimate of the time required for additional repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
