About The Position

During a Full Service Oil Change, the Automotive Courtesy Technician handles customer-visible tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning windows, and setting tire pressure. These duties must be performed carefully and professionally to create a positive impression. The technician also helps prepare vehicles for service, performs vehicle checks, and presents completed vehicles to customers.

Requirements

Basic literacy, including reading, writing, and math skills.
Verbal communication skills.
Ability and license to operate motor vehicles.
Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools.
Attention to detail.
Good corrected vision and hearing.
No previous experience or training required.

Responsibilities

Work safely and wear safety gear.
Use the Echo System.
Prepare vehicles for service by placing a seat cover and floor mat in the vehicle.
Drive vehicles into the bay and perform a light check.
Release the hood, unlock doors, roll up windows, remove and secure keys, and notify the manager if valuables are found.
Assist in documenting vehicle damage and unusual conditions.
Vacuum the entire interior, check and set tire pressure, clean exterior windows including mirrors and headlights in bad weather, and visually inspect wiper blades.
Prepare and affix the static sticker.
Start the vehicle and check oil pressure; reset the oil indicator light if applicable.
Drive the vehicle out of the bay to the customer pickup area and present it to the customer.
Thank customers for their business and invite them to return.
Perform general center maintenance and cleaning, including mopping, washing center windows, mowing the lawn, clearing litter, snow and ice, and cleaning restrooms.
Attend crew meetings and run errands as required.
Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
