About The Position

VIP Auto Accessories is hiring an Automotive Technician for its growing in-house fleet maintenance division in St. Louis. The team partners with businesses across the metro area to keep fleet vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for the road. The technician will service light- and medium-duty trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles, helping reduce breakdowns, extend vehicle life, and minimize customer downtime.

Requirements

At least 3 years of hands-on automotive and/or diesel repair experience.
Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of brake systems, suspension, electrical systems, and engine repair.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently.
Customer-first mindset and pride in delivering quality, reliable work.
Strong automotive background and teamwork skills.
Good communication skills.
Personal set of tools.
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Fleet maintenance experience.
ASE or manufacturer certifications.
CDL.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light- and medium-duty trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate needed repairs and timelines to customers.
Work with scheduling teams to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize downtime.
Recommend proactive maintenance strategies to help customers avoid future issues.
