Experienced Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic | SF Bay Area Regional Application
About The Position
This is a general application for Service Technician openings across Swickard's San Francisco Bay Area dealerships. Qualified candidates will be contacted as opportunities arise. Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars, believing the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. They operate multiple dealerships across the San Francisco Bay Area representing Audi, Land Rover, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, and Toyota. This application is for experienced flat-rate technicians in or open to the Bay Area market to proactively build a technician pipeline.
Requirements
- 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership -- required
- Any brand background considered -- luxury, import, and domestic experience all valued across our portfolio
- Strong diagnostic ability and a low comeback rate
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications a strong plus
- OEM factory certifications highly valued
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles across a range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and beyond -- using OEM diagnostic platforms and manufacturer procedures
- Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings to service advisors to support guest authorization
- Execute repairs to factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
- Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
- Stay current on technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
