Automotive Service Manager - Naples, FL
About The Position
This is a unique opportunity for an Automotive Service Manager to run a department single-handedly at a luxury dealership. You will be responsible for all aspects of the department, from writing repair orders and dispatching work to client communication and parts management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy and wants their judgment to be the final word. You will report directly to the owner/dealer principal, with no layers of management in between. You will have the authority to make decisions regarding goodwill, technician assignments, department purchases, staffing, scheduling, and setting the standard for vehicle service.
Requirements
- Managed or run service at a luxury, or independent high-line store
- Ability to write, dispatch, and close an RO independently
- Technically credible with the ability to assist technicians
- Strong communication skills with high-end clientele
- Small-team temperament, preferring to do the work rather than delegate
Responsibilities
- Writing repair orders and handling clients directly
- Dispatching every job by skill and by car
- Performing pre-purchase inspections, PDI, track prep, storage and wake-up service, seasonal and annual maintenance
- Working factory warranty portals and technical bulletins
- Parts sourcing and lead-time management
- Coordinating transport, and managing sublet on paint, glass, wheels, and upholstery
- Tech development, department gross, and effective labor rate
