About The Position

Ocean Honda of Brockton is a trusted automotive service provider committed to excellent customer care and professional service. We are currently seeking a motivated Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in Brockton, MA. The Service Advisor serves as the primary communication link between customers and automotive technicians. This role involves diagnosing vehicle issues, managing repair authorizations, and setting clear expectations for timely service delivery. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while facilitating efficient workflow in a busy service department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of experience at a dealer-level or large automotive facility preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to safety
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and dependable work ethic
  • Ability to read and understand service instructions and documentation
  • Capability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Schedule service appointments in person or by phone to ensure prompt diagnosis of vehicle problems
  • Monitor repair progress and communicate status updates to customers, including managing revised repair estimates and obtaining authorizations
  • Recommend necessary repairs and preventive maintenance, managing customer expectations effectively
  • Verify quality control of all completed repairs, including road testing vehicles as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle operations, warranties, campaigns, state lemon laws, and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and ensure compliance with safety policies and industry regulations
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations
