As an Automotive Service Advisor , you will be the primary contact between customers and our service department. Your role includes scheduling service work, advising customers on vehicle maintenance, and promoting additional services to enhance customer satisfaction. You will contribute to achieving service goals and fostering positive customer relationships.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years dealer or automotive service experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend service instructions and related materials.
  • Professional personal appearance and strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficient with computer systems and web navigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to overcome objections.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally to discuss vehicle service needs.
  • Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information and document details clearly.
  • Provide estimates for labor and parts, securing customer approval as needed.
  • Schedule repair work and coordinate with the service department staff.
  • Test-drive vehicles when necessary and inspect for additional repair opportunities.
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) goals set by management.
  • Communicate repair status and updates to customers throughout the service process.
  • Ensure repair orders are accurate, legible, and complete.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and address any questions or concerns.
  • Follow up on additional recommended services to encourage repeat business.
  • Maintain clean work and customer waiting areas.
