About The Position

East Tennessee Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is a family-owned dealership committed to providing exceptional service and support to our customers and employees. We are seeking a professional Automotive Service Advisor to serve as the primary communication link between customers and service technicians. The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service appointments, managing repair authorizations, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the service process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of experience in a dealer-level or large automotive facility preferred.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills with a safety-focused mindset.
  • Basic computer proficiency and internet skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and comprehend detailed information.
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate service appointments, providing prompt and accurate diagnoses of vehicle issues.
  • Communicate repair statuses and updates to customers, including revised estimates and delivery timelines.
  • Recommend necessary repairs and maintenance while managing customer expectations.
  • Ensure all repairs undergo quality control checks and road tests before delivery.
  • Stay informed on vehicle operations, warranties, manufacturer campaigns, and service bulletins.
  • Complete required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations.
