About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor is the primary communication link between customers and technicians, coordinating all service and repair activities. This role requires excellent listening skills to understand customer concerns, effective scheduling, and clear communication of repair needs and recommendations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience at a dealer-level or large service facility preferred.
Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
Professional and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Customer service and safety oriented.
Basic computer and internet proficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.
Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

Schedule service appointments in person or by phone to ensure timely and accurate vehicle diagnosis.
Follow up on repair status to keep customers informed and manage expectations regarding service completion times.
Obtain customer authorization for repair estimate revisions and make appropriate repair recommendations.
Confirm all repairs pass quality control checks or road tests before vehicle delivery.
Stay informed on vehicle operations, warranties, service campaigns, and related regulations including Technical Service Bulletins and state lemon laws.
Meet or exceed all service level targets and ensure compliance with documentation and safety policies.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other required educational activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations.
