About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and service technicians. You will coordinate service and repair activities, listen carefully to customer concerns, manage repair approvals, and communicate clearly about necessary and recommended services.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
At least one year of experience at a dealer-level or large automotive facility preferred
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record
Professional, dependable, and customer service-oriented
Basic computer and internet skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Professional appearance and strong work ethic
Ability to read and understand technical instructions and documentation
Physically able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed

Responsibilities

Schedule service appointments in person or by phone, ensuring accurate diagnosis of vehicle issues
Communicate repair status and update customers promptly about any delays or changes
Provide repair recommendations and manage customer expectations throughout the service process
Ensure all repairs meet quality control and road test standards
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle operations, warranties, recalls, and technical bulletins
Meet or exceed all service level performance targets
Complete all required documentation and comply with regulatory standards
Follow all safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe work environment
Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education
Perform other related duties as assigned
