About The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our Whittier, CA dealership. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits. The Automotive Service Advisor acts as the primary communication link between customers and service technicians, coordinating service and repair activities. This role requires listening carefully to customer concerns, providing clear explanations, arranging service appointments, and managing repair expectations to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a professional approach in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year experience at a dealer-level or large automotive facility preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service oriented with a professional appearance and work ethic
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Dependable and safety-conscious

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate service appointments in person or by phone for prompt diagnosis and repairs
  • Communicate repair status updates to customers and obtain approvals for revised repair estimates
  • Recommend necessary repairs and maintenance while managing customer expectations
  • Ensure quality control and road testing are completed on all repaired vehicles
  • Stay informed about vehicle operations, warranties, technical bulletins, recalls, and relevant regulations
  • Meet or exceed all service level targets and documentation requirements
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations
