About The Position

Ferman Chevrolet Brandon is seeking experienced Automotive Service Advisors. This role offers increased earning potential and greater responsibilities in the Guest Relations side of the Automotive Service Sector. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people, building relationships, and providing a best-in-class Guest service experience. You will listen to Guest concerns, relay information to Service Technicians, advise Guests on vehicle care and maintenance, and actively sell service promotions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Automotive Service Advisor experience required.
  • Must have the ability to achieve exceptional CSI scores.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Above average writing, telephone and texting skills, and proficient in using computers and tablets.
  • Must be able to explain complex automotive terms and procedures in a manner that's easily understood by the Guest.
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid US government issued Driver's License, a safe driving record and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual with proficiency in both English and Spanish a plus.
  • The ideal candidate is friendly and presents a positive attitude, is energetic, self-motivated, detail oriented, has excellent organizational skills and is able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of vehicle mechanics and parts is a plus.
  • Good sales skills and ability to work weekends a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet Guests in a prompt and courteous manner, delivering a best-in-class Guest service experience from initial contact through vehicle delivery.
  • Perform walk-around vehicle inspections with Guests, accurately recording comments regarding service needs and vehicle concerns using an electronic tablet.
  • Consult with Guests and Service Technicians to recommend necessary services, discuss future maintenance, and ensure Guests understand the work required.
  • Create Service Repair Orders detailing all work to be performed and provide Guests with accurate estimates.
  • Maintain timely and continuous communication with Guests via phone, text, and email regarding vehicle status, changes, delays, or additional work.
  • Advise Guests on vehicle care and maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Strictly follow manufacturer's warranty guidelines and procedures.
  • Track and control all open Repair Orders.
  • Manage and oversee workflow and scheduling with the team of technicians.
  • Schedule maintenance appointments or follow-up service and repairs.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, and company policy, regarding safeguarding customer, company, and manufacturer information, as well as Guest's vehicle and property.
  • Strive to maintain excellent CSI scores.
