About The Position

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service by scheduling service appointments, providing estimates, and selling additional vehicle services. You will work closely with customers and the service department to ensure a smooth and satisfactory service experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in automotive service advising or related field.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate web-based systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Customer-focused approach with ability to overcome objections.
Professional personal appearance and demeanor.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and technical information.
Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly, professionally, and courteously.
Communicate with customers to identify their vehicle service needs and concerns.
Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information.
Test-drive vehicles when necessary to assess service requirements.
Explain necessary repairs and recommended services clearly to customers.
Generate repair orders and provide accurate labor and parts estimates.
Obtain customer approval for all services and payment methods.
Coordinate with the service team and dispatch to schedule repairs effectively.
Follow up on service progress and update customers on any changes.
Deliver vehicles back to customers, answering any questions they may have.
Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings and encourage repeat business.
Keep work and waiting areas clean and organized.
Analyze quality control reports to minimize repeat repairs.
