About The Position

As an Automotive Service Advisor at Horne Mazda Avondale, you will be the primary point of contact for our service customers. Your role is to greet customers promptly, understand their vehicle service needs, and facilitate communication between the customer and service technicians. Your thorough product knowledge and excellent customer service skills will help promote appropriate services and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience as an automotive service advisor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record in the state of employment.
  • Energetic and positive attitude with a professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively within a process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inspect vehicles and review service history to accurately identify service needs.
  • Promote sales of services, parts, and accessories by sharing detailed product knowledge.
  • Provide customers with accurate cost and time estimates, obtaining proper authorization before work begins.
  • Monitor service progress and communicate any changes in cost, timing, or recommended services to customers promptly.
  • Manage new and used vehicle warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Confirm service appointments by telephone one day before scheduled visits.
  • Conduct post-repair follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Inspect vehicles before delivery to confirm all services and repairs are completed correctly and explain findings to customers.
  • Comply with all relevant state and federal laws regarding automobile repair and consumer protection.
  • Exemplify company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
