Automotive Sales Manager-Chester Springs, PA: This person will assist the General Sales Manager in hands-on planning, training and managing of his/her Sales Department Team in alignment with company culture which sets CarShop apart from others in the industry. In this role the Sales Manager is a critical team member in the day to day maintenance and advancement of our company values and culture.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the automotive/retail industry in managing teams and developing talent
  • BDC and Internet Management experience is preferred
  • Finance knowledge- ability to read credit bureaus, submit finance applications, and print paperwork at time of delivery a plus.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-three years' sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • State salesperson license may also be required.

  • B.A. or Associate's Degree.
  • Two-three years sales experience within auto industry.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor on a daily basis and develop sales activities on the sales floor with emphasis on customer follow up before and after the sale, staffing the front sales desk and remaining vigilant for unattended customers on the sales lot and in the showroom. Implement established company procedures and policies for the sales department and suggest improvements.
  • Assist the finance team by assuming the responsibility of finance manager in times of their absence
  • Train/mentor sales consultants to increase their skills and abilities to serve customers and close the sale.
  • Establish performance and development objectives for direct reports.
  • Conduct a weekly "sales meeting" to recognize the successes of various sales consultants. Highlight a customer experience which models success and our culture and encourages the team. Encourage the sharing of new insights about how to handle challenging situations.
