About The Position

Automotive Sales Lot Porters verify the receipt of new vehicles and conduct damage inspections. They organize and park vehicles in the new-vehicle lot, move and clean vehicles, and maintain used vehicles in optimal condition. They work with the Used Car Manager as needed to support departmental operations.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Physical ability to use computer hardware and software.
• Ability to prioritize.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance.
• Sense of spatial orientation.

Responsibilities

• Compare serial numbers of incoming vehicles against invoices and inspect vehicles for damage.
• Keep the lot organized by moving and parking vehicles as needed by the GSM or Sales Department.
• Catalog and store keys.
• Clean the interior and exterior of used vehicles, including trunks, glove compartments, tires, and windows, as needed.
• Start vehicles daily and report problems or concerns.
• Perform light vehicle maintenance as needed, including replacing windshield wiper blades, repairing or changing tires, replenishing fluids and gas, and charging batteries.
• Ensure required forms and stickers are completed and properly displayed.
• Work nights and weekends.

• Competitive pay of $17.50 per hour.
• Paid time off; new full-time employees accrue four hours per pay period, approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.
