About The Position

Goodwin's Volvo, a part of the Maine automotive community for over 90 years, is seeking an Experienced Automotive Sales Executive. This role offers the opportunity to represent a luxury brand within a supportive, family-owned environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting and contribute to a dealership that emphasizes professionalism, relationship-building, and long-term success.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in automotive sales (preferred).
  • High energy and enthusiasm throughout the sales workday.
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor, especially when handling objections.
  • Strong customer service skills and a proven sales track record.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Comfortable creating engaging video content for vehicle walk-arounds and participating in social media engagement to connect with customers.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about electric vehicles (EVs), including features, benefits, and the evolving EV market.
  • Persuasive and able to overcome customer objections.
  • Proficient in basic business math, including percentages.
  • Capable of using Microsoft Office, accounting software, and proprietary sales programs.
  • Persistent, competitive, and a strong work ethic.
  • Focused on meeting customer needs to enhance dealership and personal sales.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and guide customers as they arrive on the lot, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Assist customers in finding vehicles that meet their needs using current inventory information.
  • Showcase vehicle features to enhance the sales process and create excitement.
  • Help customers complete their sales applications smoothly and efficiently.
  • Inspect the lot’s vehicles daily and report any issues to management, ensuring everything is in top shape.
  • Ensure the lot is merchandised correctly to maximize sales and attract customers.
  • Prospect new leads through various channels, including social media, networking events, and community engagement.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and follow up diligently to convert leads into sales.
