About The Position

As an Automotive Sales Consultant , you will play a key role in our sales team by effectively communicating vehicle features and benefits, understanding customer needs, and guiding buyers through the sales process. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Previous experience in sales, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret business documents and technical materials.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle situations with limited guidelines.
  • Comfortable presenting information and responding to questions from a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and identify the make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation both in the showroom and on the road.
  • Recommend optional equipment and packages according to customer preferences.
  • Research availability of specific models and equipment.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to calculate and quote pricing, including tax, trade-in value, fees, and financing options.
  • Prepare all necessary paperwork for sales and financing applications.
  • Deliver new vehicles to customers, ensuring understanding of operating features, warranty terms, and documentation.
  • Maintain and develop a network of prospective customers.
  • Stay informed about new products, features, and accessories.
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain professional standards.
  • Meet or exceed sales forecasts and targets.
