About The Position

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will manage all sales activities at the dealership. This includes greeting customers, conducting needs analyses, demonstrating vehicle features, negotiating sales terms, and completing sales documentation. You will play a key role in customer satisfaction by guiding clients through the sales process and ensuring a smooth delivery experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of automotive sales experience is required.
  • Strong sales skills with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to effectively follow up with clients before and after sales to maintain relationships.
  • One year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Second language proficiency is preferred but not required.
  • Current valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and perform thorough needs analysis regarding vehicle make, type, and features desired.
  • Explain and demonstrate vehicle features and operation both in the showroom and on the road.
  • Research vehicle availability and options using the dealership's computer database.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate pricing, trade-in allowances, taxes, fees, financing, or lease payments.
  • Visually inspect inventory on the lot to ensure vehicle readiness.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and coordinate vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles and familiarize customers with their new purchase.
  • Attend required training sessions and department meetings.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
