About The Position

We seek motivated sales professionals who are eager to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will manage all aspects of the sales process. You will engage customers on the sales floor, assess their vehicle needs, and guide them through product features and benefits. Your role is key in generating and maintaining sales leads to support the dealership's growth.

Requirements

  • One year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong sales skills with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Organized with attentive follow-up skills to maintain client relationships before and after sales.
  • Current valid driver's license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and conduct a thorough needs analysis including vehicle make, model, and features.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation in the showroom or during test drives.
  • Research inventory availability and options using the dealership's computer system.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate sales prices, considering taxes, trade-ins, and financing or leasing requirements.
  • Inspect the lot inventory regularly for condition and availability.
  • Complete all sales paperwork and arrange vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and provide thorough orientation on vehicle functions.
  • Attend training sessions and departmental meetings as required.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
