Steve Padgetts Honda of Lake Murray is seeking a dedicated Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow up with clients before and after sales.
  • Current valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and conduct a needs analysis regarding vehicle make, type, and desired features.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation in the showroom or during test drives.
  • Research availability of models and optional equipment using computer databases.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate pricing, taxes, trade-in allowances, license fees, and financing or lease payments.
  • Visually inspect inventory regularly by walking the lot.
  • Complete all sales paperwork accurately and arrange vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and familiarize them with features and operation.
  • Attend and complete required training sessions and department meetings.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
