About The Position

Sun Auto Tire & Service, which includes Sun Devil Auto, Wilhelm Automotive, Greulich’s Automotive, Borst Automotive, and TGK Automotive, is a provider of aftermarket automotive repair, maintenance, and tire services with more than 500 retail locations in the United States. The Store Manager is responsible for a market’s overall financial and operational performance. The role establishes and maintains guest services and oversees store operations to maximize sales and profitability through expense control, human resource management, operating-cost management, and shrink management. The manager leads employees by setting expectations and communicating about responsibilities, goals, training, development, and customer service. They coach and counsel employees, ensure compliance with company policies, recruit and hire in partnership with HR, and conduct performance evaluations. The role also analyzes business trends, develops plans to meet or exceed sales and profit targets, reviews invoices and reports, maintains controls over company assets, and oversees store cleanliness, merchandising, equipment inspections, and parts returns. This position requires working at least five days per week, including weekends, and the manager must be willing to relocate or accept placement in an open store upon program completion. The work environment can include noise, dust, automotive and other hazardous materials, and varying temperatures. Physical duties include standing for up to eight hours, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

Two or more years of experience leading a team in a similar role.
Proven experience in retail or automotive service management.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual plans with clearly defined goals.
Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Sun Auto’s driving requirements.
Willingness to relocate or accept placement in an open store upon program completion.
Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including weekends.
Ability to stand for up to eight hours per day; walk throughout the building; bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch; and use full range of motion with arms and hands.
Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Sufficient vision and hearing to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Maintain controls over company assets and follow standard closing procedures.
Ensure the store’s front, back, and exterior are clean and well maintained.
Maintain high housekeeping and merchandising standards.
Conduct regular equipment inspections and request maintenance as needed.
Ensure timely return of unused parts to vendors and proper credit processing.
