About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Mobile Repair Specialist to maintain and repair its fleet of trucks and trailers in the assigned area. The role uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess field vehicles and provides flexibility to plan and manage daily work. U-Haul provides support, tools, and continued equipment education, with opportunities for career growth. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no weekends. Pay is $20–$26 per hour depending on experience, and the posting offers a $100 hiring bonus. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter.

• Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools and in accordance with U-Haul standards.
• Perform work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide on appropriate actions.
• Complete required ongoing U-Haul equipment education.
• Establish an effective route in the assigned area to repair down or inoperable equipment and ensure all equipment is repaired or scheduled for repair.
• Maintain an inventory of repair parts and charge out all parts used.
• Provide assistance in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
