About The Position

CARSTAR Burien, part of Murray’s Collision Group, is hiring a full-time Porter to support collision repair operations at its Burien and Des Moines shops. The role involves moving and driving customer vehicles, picking up and delivering vehicles, meeting customers during handoffs, and helping prepare vehicles for delivery. The position travels between the two shops, using the employee’s own vehicle for that travel. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with weekends off. Pay is $21–$23 per hour, based on experience.

Murray’s Collision Group is a family-owned collision repair company that has served the Puget Sound since 1984 and operates CARSTAR and Fix Auto shops in the region. Requirements

• Be friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers.
• Be comfortable driving many types of vehicles for extended periods.
• Have a reliable personal vehicle for travel between the Burien and Des Moines shops.
• Have strong attention to detail.
• Have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Move customer vehicles around the shop as needed for technicians and estimators.
• Pick up and deliver customer vehicles to and from their locations.
• Greet customers during pickups and drop-offs, and smoothly hand off keys and vehicles.
• Travel between the Burien and Des Moines shops as needed.
• Pre-wash vehicles and help the detailer prepare cars for customer delivery.
• Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors, including windows.
• Help maintain the parking lot, building, and general facility.
• Ensure all vehicles are secure and locked each night.
• Assist with light scratch buffing and installation of trim or cosmetic parts as needed.
• Perform all tasks safely and responsibly.
