About The Position

The Automotive Photographer captures high-quality photographs of new and pre-owned vehicle inventory and ensures vehicles are accurately and consistently represented online. This entry-level role suits someone comfortable with technology who enjoys independent work and is eager to learn. Previous professional photography experience is preferred but not required, and training is provided.

The role is primarily performed on-site at the dealership and vehicle inventory or storage areas. It involves frequent walking and standing for extended periods, working outdoors in varying weather, regularly entering and exiting vehicles, and moving and positioning vehicles for photography. Driving is generally limited to the dealership property and nearby vehicle storage facilities; travel to multiple locations or states and overnight travel are not expected as part of regular responsibilities.

• Self-motivation and ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple vehicles and assignments.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including large trucks and SUVs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Photograph new and pre-owned vehicles according to company photography standards and best practices.
• Capture detailed interior, exterior, and feature-specific images that accurately showcase each vehicle.
• Transport, stage, and position vehicles throughout the dealership property and, when needed, to and from a nearby vehicle storage facility.
• Safely operate a variety of vehicle makes and models, including large trucks and SUVs.
• Upload, organize, and maintain vehicle images within the inventory management system in a timely manner.
• Work with management, sales, service, and inventory teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date online vehicle listings.
• Manage daily photography priorities and schedules so newly received inventory is photographed quickly and efficiently.
• Re-photograph vehicles when updated images are needed.
• Perform related vehicle merchandising and inventory support duties, which may include removing old stickers or other materials before photography.
• Maintain photography equipment and follow company processes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Work with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining high-quality standards.
