About The Position

The Parts Driver picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors. The role also supports the parts and service departments by coordinating deliveries, handling parts and paperwork, assisting with stocking and order posting, and helping manage customer vehicle drop-off and pick-up. The driver is expected to maintain the delivery truck and a professional appearance, follow company safety procedures, and promptly report accidents.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Authorization to work in the USA.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate last-minute pick-ups and deliveries with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter staff, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving.
• Check with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
• Deliver parts to the body shop and distribute them to the appropriate body technicians when needed.
• Verify that the invoice matches the purchase order for each pick-up.
• Check payments received against invoices for each delivery.
• Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups and obtain the recipient’s signature for each delivery entry.
• Unload the truck each night and turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Perform basic truck maintenance, including filling the gas tank, checking oil, keeping the truck clean, and ensuring required inspections are performed.
• Advise the parts manager when delivery trucks need major repairs or maintenance.
• Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department and maintain a professional personal appearance.
• Assist the service department as needed with customer car drop-off and pick-up responsibilities.
• Help stock and post incoming orders to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
