About The Position

BMW/MINI of Annapolis, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking an Automotive Parts Delivery Driver. The driver picks up and delivers parts to wholesale accounts and vendors, coordinates last-minute pickups and deliveries, and verifies invoices, purchase orders, and payments. The role also includes keeping delivery records, obtaining recipient signatures, unloading the truck at the end of each day, and submitting paperwork and undelivered parts. Additional duties include maintaining the professional appearance of the parts department, checking in stock orders, reporting damaged or missing parts, and maintaining special-order and backorder files while notifying customers when their parts arrive. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, either 8 a.m.–5 p.m. or 7 a.m.–4 p.m. The expected pay range is $16–$18 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Maryland driver’s license and a good driving record.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be available Monday through Friday, either 8 a.m.–5 p.m. or 7 a.m.–4 p.m.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of related experience in an automotive parts department is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver parts to wholesale accounts and vendors.
Coordinate last-minute pickups and deliveries.
Verify that invoices match purchase orders for each pickup.
Check payments received against invoices for each delivery.
Keep an accurate daily log of deliveries and pickups and obtain recipients’ signatures for delivery entries.
Unload the truck each night and turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
Check in stock orders upon receipt.
Notify the parts manager of parts received damaged or missing from any type of order.
Maintain a special-order file and ensure customers are notified when their parts arrive.
Maintain a backorder file.
