About The Position

Diehl of Sharon is hiring a motivated Automotive Parts Counterperson / Parts Advisor to join our busy dealership parts department in Sharon, Pennsylvania. We're looking for someone who understands automotive parts, provides excellent customer service, stays organized, and can work effectively with Service Advisors, Automotive Technicians, retail customers, wholesale customers, and vendors. If you have experience working at a new-car dealership, automotive parts store, independent repair facility, collision center, or automotive service department, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Previous Automotive Parts Counterperson, Parts Advisor, or Parts Specialist experience preferred
  • Automotive dealership parts department experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, components, and accessories
  • Experience using electronic automotive parts catalogs is preferred
  • OEM automotive parts experience is a plus
  • Experience with dealership management systems is preferred
  • Automotive inventory-control experience is helpful
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians and Service Advisors
  • Ability to work with retail and wholesale parts customers
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Dependable attendance
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Assist Automotive Technicians and Service Advisors with parts requests
  • Assist retail and wholesale customers with automotive parts needs
  • Look up and identify OEM automotive parts using electronic parts catalogs
  • Provide accurate parts pricing and availability
  • Order automotive parts and accessories
  • Pull and distribute parts for Service Technicians
  • Process parts invoices, returns, exchanges, and special orders
  • Receive incoming parts shipments
  • Stock and organize automotive parts inventory
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Monitor special-order parts and backorders
  • Follow up on parts orders as necessary
  • Assist with shipping and receiving
  • Maintain proper parts bin locations
  • Help perform inventory counts and inventory-control procedures
  • Communicate with Service Advisors regarding parts availability and repair needs
  • Communicate with technicians to ensure correct parts are supplied for repairs
  • Assist wholesale automotive parts customers
  • Provide professional customer service by phone, in person, and electronically
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department
