About The Position

Bill Rapp Subaru is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to join our team in Syracuse, NY. This position is responsible for providing excellent service to our service and parts departments, technicians, and retail customers while ensuring parts are accurately identified, sourced, and distributed.

Requirements

Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred.
Knowledge of automotive parts and terminology.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to accurately identify parts and research parts information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership parts and inventory systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with service, sales, and parts department personnel.
Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

Assist retail and wholesale customers with parts inquiries and purchases.
Identify and accurately source OEM and aftermarket parts as appropriate.
Assist service technicians and advisors in locating and obtaining required parts.
Review parts requests and ensure the correct parts are ordered and available when needed.
Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming parts.
Maintain accurate parts inventory and assist with inventory control.
Process parts invoices, orders, returns, and related documentation accurately.
Communicate with vendors and parts suppliers regarding availability, pricing, and delivery.
Maintain an organized, clean, and professional parts counter and work area.
Provide courteous and professional service to customers and dealership personnel.
Follow dealership procedures, manufacturer requirements, and applicable safety practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
