The Parts Counter Representative plays an important role in supporting our technicians, service advisors, customers, and overall dealership operation. Requirements

• Previous automotive parts experience preferred
• Dealership parts department experience is a plus
• Strong automotive knowledge and ability to identify parts accurately
• Experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs preferred
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to work effectively with technicians, service advisors, customers, and other team members
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must demonstrate Team Automotive's core values and bring a Winning Team Player attitude to work every day

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians, service advisors, wholesale customers, and retail customers with parts needs
• Look up and identify the correct automotive parts quickly and accurately
• Provide pricing and availability information
• Order parts from manufacturers and outside vendors as needed
• Maintain communication regarding backordered and special-order parts
• Pull, stage, and distribute parts for technicians and repair orders
• Receive and process incoming parts orders
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and invoices for accuracy
• Process returns and warranty parts according to dealership procedures
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Help keep the parts department clean, organized, and efficient
• Build strong working relationships with the service and sales departments
• Provide professional and friendly customer service
• Assist with inventory counts and other parts department responsibilities as needed
