About The Position
Peter Boulware Toyota, a busy, high-volume Toyota dealership, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Counter Person to join their Parts Department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys assisting customers, and has a passion for automotive parts, particularly Toyota parts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an automotive parts department (Toyota experience is a big plus)
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to read parts diagrams
- Familiarity with parts lookup software and inventory management systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be reliable, organized, and have a positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- ASE Parts Specialist certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers (both retail and wholesale) at the parts counter with professional, friendly service
- Identify, locate, and sell genuine Toyota parts using dealership management systems and parts catalogs
- Process orders accurately and efficiently – including special orders, stock replenishment, and returns
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure timely parts availability for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain accurate inventory records and help with cycle counts and stock organization
- Answer phone inquiries and provide excellent parts lookup and pricing support
- Stay up-to-date on new Toyota models, parts releases, and technical information
