Auburn Chevrolet is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented part-time Parts Counter Associate to support its busy Parts Department. The role focuses on receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, preparing parts for service repairs, and maintaining an efficient and organized department. Automotive parts experience is a plus, but the employer is willing to train the right candidate. The associate checks in GM and Hyundai parts orders and tire deliveries, verifies quantities and part numbers, and reports discrepancies, shortages, damage, or incorrect shipments. They organize special-order parts and stock inventory, pull and stage parts for retail, wholesale, and repair orders, and prepare available parts for scheduled service appointments. Additional work includes maintaining special-order shelves, assisting with vendor returns, handling warranty parts according to GM and Hyundai procedures, performing inventory counts, delivering parts to technicians, and organizing cores and CVO and LPO accessories. The position requires strong organization and attention to detail, dependability, the ability to follow procedures and manage multiple tasks, and the ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn dealership parts systems are needed. The associate must be able to lift, carry, and organize automotive parts and tires, with or without reasonable accommodation. Previous automotive parts, warehouse, inventory, or dealership experience is preferred but not required. The employer offers competitive hourly pay of $18.00–$22.00 based on experience, paid sick time, on-the-job training, an opportunity to learn automotive parts operations, and a team-oriented work environment.
