About The Position

The Assistant Manager is a full-time, hourly position whose hours are based on business needs. As a store key holder, this teammate serves as manager on duty when the Store Manager is absent or business demand requires it. The role assists in managing an automotive retail service and repair store’s operations to meet or exceed service standards and achieve performance and profitability goals. The Assistant Manager helps ensure teammates deliver exceptional 5 Star guest service through clear communication about vehicle issues and proposed solutions, while meeting guest expectations for service timing and quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Ability to problem solve and manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Communication skills to effectively communicate with teammates and guests.
Complete all Monro-required training within the provided guidelines and timing.
Current valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Responsibilities

Schedule guest appointments to make effective use of technician abilities and complete vehicle services and repairs efficiently and on time.
Help achieve sales goals by informing guests about and recommending tire and service products and sales promotions.
Address guest needs related to sales, service, complaints, and adjustments; build relationships that support customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Assist technicians in communicating repair and service needs to guests.
Maintain the store in excellent, clean, guest-ready condition and in accordance with Monro standards.
Assist with inventory management, including overseeing the pulling of tires and parts, unloading deliveries, and stocking inventory.
Provide direction and oversight to other technicians and assist with services and repairs as needed.
Help organize store workflow so technician skill levels are used efficiently and vehicle services and repairs are completed effectively, on time, and according to Monro operating standards.
Follow company policies and procedures, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards; consistently use required safety practices.
Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.
Perform other duties as assigned and required by the direct supervisor.
