About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Automotive Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles. This role is suited to a technician who can independently handle intermediate repairs while continuing to develop their skills. The position is full-time and pays $28–$30 per hour. It is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and is scheduled for second shift; exact hours are to be confirmed.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
• Ability to work independently on intermediate-level repairs.
• Working knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications (A1 through A8 preferred).
• Vocational or technical school automotive training.
• Experience with dealership or fleet service.
• EPA Section 609 certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and drivetrain components.
• Diagnose engine performance, electrical, and drivability issues using scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Complete multi-point inspections and document findings and recommended repairs.
• Replace and repair components such as alternators, starters, water pumps, and timing components.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and fluid services as needed.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, repair procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Record labor time, parts used, and work performed on repair orders.
• Communicate with service advisors and lead technicians about repair status and additional needs.
• Keep the work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
