About The Position

Our Auto Value store of Midland, MI is currently seeking a person for a Full Time Automotive Machinist. The successful applicant will need past experience with a brake lathe flywheel, hydraulic press and understanding of a micrometer. This position also includes but not limited to: Customer Satisfaction, Complete projects as assigned by manager, Overall machine shop cleanliness, Work with the Manager to better communications / service. Resurfacing automotive brake rotors, drums and flywheels. Resurfacing heavy duty flywheels. Tear-down and assembly of automotive cylinder heads. Resurface engine heads. Tear down, machining and assembly of engine valves. Responsible for store profitability through: Good store communications, Check order accuracy before each delivery, Notify manager of any problems with customers, Shop appearance (clean & organize), Always tell the customer what you can do for them, Protect the stores interest, Keep management informed of competition, Handle yourself as a professional, set an example.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License
• Driving Record Acceptable to Our Insurance Company
• Pass Physical & Drug Screen
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic to intermediate automotive and parts knowledge
• Past experience in automotive machining and assembly
• Past experience with a brake lathe flywheel
• Past experience with a hydraulic press
• Understanding of a micrometer
