About The Position

Carson Honda, a Sonic Automotive dealership, is looking for an experienced Automotive Line Technician to join our service team in Carson, CA. We're looking for technicians who take pride in quality repairs, work efficiently, and want the opportunity to grow their skills and earning potential in a franchise dealership environment. As an Automotive Line Technician at Carson Honda, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain guest vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards. We're looking for an experienced technician who can produce quality work efficiently while contributing to a safe, professional shop environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional automotive technician experience
• Your own set of automotive technician tools
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
• Commitment to continued learning, teamwork, and guest satisfaction
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and valid driver license

Nice To Haves

• Previous Honda or other franchise dealership experience preferred
• Honda certifications and/or ASE certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle concerns and perform repairs accurately and efficiently
• Complete maintenance and repair work according to Honda and dealership standards
• Review repair orders and document completed work accurately
• Inspect vehicles and identify additional safety or service needs
• Coordinate with Service Advisors and Parts to keep repairs moving
• Road-test vehicles when required to verify repairs
• Maintain dealership safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Participate in training and stay current on manufacturer procedures and technical information
