About The Position

VIP Automotive Group of Long Island is seeking an experienced Automotive Internet Parts Customer Service Representative to join their growing OEM Automotive Parts E-Commerce operation. This role is for an experienced professional who understands dealership parts operations and online parts sales, and it is not an entry-level position. The representative will manage online automotive parts orders, customer communication, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and problem resolution, contributing to revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous automotive parts experience is required
Experience in one or more of the following: Automotive dealership Parts Department, OEM automotive parts, Internet Parts Department, Automotive e-commerce, Online automotive parts sales, Automotive parts fulfillment, Wholesale automotive parts, Retail automotive parts, Parts counter or parts sales, Automotive parts customer service
Organized, detail-oriented automotive parts professional
Ability to manage multiple customer orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
2+ years of automotive parts experience preferred
Automotive dealership parts experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of OEM automotive parts and part numbers
Experience with online automotive parts ordering
Understanding of order fulfillment and shipping processes
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong computer and data-entry skills
Ability to manage multiple orders and customer requests simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable handling customer escalations
Ability to work independently while collaborating with dealership teams
Sales-minded approach with the ability to identify revenue opportunities

Responsibilities

Process and manage online automotive parts orders from placement through fulfillment
Verify OEM part numbers, pricing, quantities, availability, and shipping information
Research parts applications and provide accurate automotive parts information
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email
Provide OEM automotive parts quotes and product information
Monitor orders and proactively communicate order status
Resolve customer concerns involving incorrect parts, damaged shipments, lost packages, delayed deliveries, backordered parts, and order discrepancies
Coordinate with warehouses, vendors, shipping carriers, and dealership departments
Process cancellations, exchanges, refunds, reshipments, and order modifications
Support a high-volume automotive e-commerce parts operation
Handle customer escalations and complex order issues
Assist Level 1 Customer Service Representatives with escalated cases
Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and order resolutions
Communicate professionally through email, phone, and online customer channels
Follow up with customers and leads to generate additional parts business
Identify opportunities to increase sales and customer retention
Help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the order process
