About The Position

Dent Wizard is the nation’s undisputed leader in automotive reconditioning services and vehicle protection products. As an Interior Technician, you will provide mobile repairs for auto dealerships, auction houses, and other customers. Your primary goal is to make a vehicle's interior look as new as possible and ready for sale by repairing rips, tears, burns, and removing stains. This role requires not only technical skills but also sales and communication abilities to build customer relationships and drive business.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automotive interior repair and upholstery.
  • Vocational or technical training in automotive interior installation and upholstery is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive safety regulations and interior specifications.
  • Previous experience in automotive or related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
  • Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior component and installation, including seats, dashboards, carpets, headliners, door panels, and trim pieces, ensuring secure and correct positioning.
  • Conduct upholstery work, including upholstering seats, door panels, and other interior components with fabric, leather, and vinyl, and repairing or replacing damaged upholstery.
  • Perform interior trim and finishing, including installing, repairing, or replacing trim pieces like moldings, dashboard accents, and center consoles, ensuring a clean and polished finish.
  • Engage in quality control and service excellence by interacting with customers and management to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Document the condition of interior components and report any defects or issues.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Technician for the Division, responding promptly to service requests and assisting customers with interior issues.
  • Maintain records of work performed, including repairs, replacements, and installations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
