About The Position

V2X Professional Services (VPS) is looking for an individual to facilitate Interactive Distance Learning (PC based) and Instructor Led Training courses to Mazda Dealership Technicians in a training center setting. This individual must be highly motivated, willing to accept new challenges, and be able to complete tasks with minimal direction, including independent study, to stay current with technology. The ideal candidate will have previous dealership and Instructor/Facilitator experience. This position will be based out of Schaumburg, IL.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years automotive technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of intricate automotive systems
  • Advanced automotive systems diagnostic skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work skillfully with highly technical diagnostic equipment, including Scan Tools, Lab Scopes, DVOMs, Air Conditioning Recycling Equipment, Vibration Diagnostic Equipment, etc.
  • Ability to work well with both customers and co-workers in a team environment
  • Intermediate computer skills, including the use of the internet, Microsoft Office products and email
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and work environments
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively at a satellite training facility
  • Minimum Associates degree in Automotive Technology or successful completion of a formal Automotive Technology Program.
  • Four years automotive technician experience with a High School diploma may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certification is desired
  • Mazda experience also desired
  • Two years automotive instructor experience
  • Previous Mazda dealership experience
  • OEM Master Technician Certification (domestic or import)
  • ASE Certifications
